We are excited to announce Chris Gianatassio and Taylor Morrison as the Co-Head Coaches of our 2018 team for the upcoming season!

Chris brings over 15 years of coaching experience as he enters his second season with the Boston Junior Rangers. He played collegiate hockey at the University of Southern Maine and Framingham State University, earning ECAC East All-Academic Team honors. Following his playing career, Chris transitioned into coaching, spending more than a decade at the high school level, most recently serving three seasons as Boys Varsity Head Coach at Wakefield High School, along with coaching stops at his alma mater Everett High School and Lexington High School.

In addition, Chris served five seasons as a Head Coach for the Bay State Games, coached numerous skills camps across the North Shore, and is the co-owner and operator of Boston Hockey Skills in North Reading, MA. His coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive experience for every player while developing strong fundamentals, confidence, and habits that translate both on and off the ice.

Taylor Morrison played four years at Lynnfield High School before being recruited to play Division II hockey at Stonehill College. Following his playing career, Taylor immediately dedicated himself to player development, serving as the Executive Director of Player Development for Lynnfield Hockey, while also coaching the Lynnfield High School team for several seasons.

Currently, Taylor is the Head Coach of our 2017 and 2013 BJR teams. He will be moving from the 2017 to the 2018 team to coach his youngest son, Matty. Bringing over 20 years of youth coaching experience, Taylor is a USA Hockey Level III Certified Coach.

Together, Chris and Taylor bring experience, passion, and a strong commitment to player development. We are thrilled to have them leading the way this upcoming season!

Our U14 program will compete full season next year, and we are selectively adding a few impact players to complete the roster. We are currently gathering interest from motivated, skilled players for upcoming tryouts.

Due to varying high school sporting opportunities at this age level, half-season options may be available for select players.

This opportunity is designed for driven, skilled athletes looking to train and compete at a high level in a top-tier environment.

We’re thrilled to welcome Pat into his sixth sea

We’re thrilled to welcome Pat into his sixth season with the Boston Junior Rangers, and his first as head coach!

Bringing more than nine years behind the bench and a deeply rooted passion for the game, he’s committed to guiding young players to reach their full potential. A standout on the men's hockey team at Tufts University, Pat served as a captain his senior year and earned recognition for his leadership, work ethic, and on-ice excellence in the highly competitive NESCAC league.

A native of Burlington, MA, he honed the skills and drive that fueled his success from Burlington High School all the way to college hockey. Pat is excited to bring his passion for player development, team culture, and competitive growth to the Junior Rangers organization.

Scott enters his first season with the Boston Juni

Scott enters his first season with the Boston Junior Rangers Squirt program, bringing more than 15 years of coaching experience and a lifelong connection to the game. He currently serves as the Assistant Varsity Coach at Lynnfield High School, where he has spent the last 13 seasons behind the bench, contributing to over 125 wins, two league titles, and a Final Four appearance in 2022.

Before transitioning into coaching, Scott played college hockey at Arizona State University after competing with Tabor Academy and the New Hampshire Monarchs. A Lynnfield native, he began his hockey journey at Lynnfield High School and was a member of the program’s 1996 State Championship team.

Scott is excited to bring his passion for player development, team culture, and competitive growth to the Junior Rangers organization.
