January Update

Happy New Year Ranger Families! Starting 2025 off strong:

2016s: The boys got back on the winning track after a tough weekend before the holiday break. They all rallied around the broader team focus of making passes to the middle of the ice to get out of our own end and create more offense. Jacob “Juicebox” Romano posted the shutout in net, behind 5 different goal scorers (Finn Kelly with 2), and Eddie V’s first goal!

2015s: The team went undefeated the month of January tallying 4 wins and 1 tie! Solid performance by the team in the 10-4 W vs the Wizards. Leading goal scorers included Sean Carney (2), Ralphy Lynch (2), and strong goals by Jaxson Orr and Anthony Mucci. Goalies Rocco Fallon and Oliver Belmonte had good games as well.

2014s: Competed hard all month and got 3 great wins under the teams belt!

2013s: The 2013s hosted the Winter Club in a tight game. Three minutes into the first Chris Roan from behind the net fed Luis Sena with a nice pass for the first goal of the game. Then with just two minutes left in the period just inside the blue line, Ben Doherty chipped the puck to Ryan Haynes on the half wall. Haynes then kicked it over to Gianni Giasullo, who skated in and scored low stick side for 2-0 lead. The Winter Club scored a goal late in the first and two more three minutes into the second to take 3-2 lead. A minute later, Christian Doyle picked up a loose puck in the attacking zone along the end boards. He skated towards the left dot, and then backhanded a perfect pass to Luis Sena sitting on the right side of the crease to tie the game. The game went back and forth until the 2:38 mark in the third period… on a 2-1 transition out of the defensive zone, Luis Sena made a tape-to-tape pass in the neutral zone to Gianni Giassulo. Gianni skated past the defenseman and wristed it over the goalie’s catcher for the game-winning goal! The 13s also played in the MLK Freeze Tournament. Great weekend of hockey and team bonding, and they made it to the semifinals!

2012: The 12s had a home game vs Winter Club and had a dominating performance winning convincingly 5-2 with balanced scoring. The 12s also played in the MLK Freeze Tournament. They played in 4 games total and all were hard-fought competitive games. Overall it was a solid weekend for this team in preparation for the home stretch of the season and playoffs.

2011: The 11s had a challenging month, but turned things around and ended it with a two-win weekend.

U14: The team capitalized in the game vs the Wizards with an 8-1 W! The offensive was firing on all cylinders with a mix of highlight goals and some greasers.
