October was an exciting and action-packed month across the Boston Junior Rangers program, with tournament championships, finalist finishes, big league wins, and continued development at every age group. From the youngest teams finding their stride to the older groups battling through competitive schedules, the BJR program showcased resilience, strong team identity, and standout individual performances. Here’s a team-by-team look at the highlights from an unforgettable October.
2017
The 2017 Jr. Rangers closed out October with strong momentum, highlighted by back-to-back wins over the Patriots and Railers and several breakout offensive performances. Consistent goaltending and growing team chemistry fueled an impressive month.
2016
The 2016s showed major strides, capped by a finalist run at the Green Mountain Avalanche Tournament and several competitive league matchups. Their continued progress, improved structure, and growing depth were on full display all month.
2015
The 2015s delivered one of the program’s top October highlights with a Discovery Cup Finals appearance, backed by strong goaltending and balanced scoring. The group bounced back from adversity and continued trending upward each weekend.
2014
The 2014s brought home the Jay Peak AAA Tournament Championship, dominating early in the event before sealing the title in a hard-fought rematch. Their October also included tight league contests that showcased their grit and offensive firepower.
2013
The 2013s completed October with several competitive battles and a standout 10–1 victory over the Catamounts. Strong goaltending and a growing offensive core helped them build confidence throughout the month’s tournament and league play.
2012
The 2012 Jr. Rangers pushed through injuries and a demanding schedule, earning a solid win over the Warriors and competing against some of the division’s top teams. Despite challenges, the group showed determination and steady development.
2011 (U14)
The U14 squad shined in October, capturing the Waterville Valley Tournament Championship and delivering multiple resilient performances. Strong goaltending and clutch scoring defined a standout month.
U15
The U15 team delivered consistent two-way play, highlighted by a key league win over the Warriors. They battled closely against top-level opponents and continued building momentum through disciplined, structured hockey.
U18 Blue
U18 Blue put together a strong October, securing big wins over the Bruins and Railers and showing improvement week after week. Their month was punctuated by an earlier dominant 8–0 victory featuring explosive offense and a shutout performance.
U18 White
U18 White wrapped up October with competitive efforts across the board, including strong outings against the Wizards and Saints. Solid team defense and reliable goaltending kept them in every game.
