Ryan Sweeney Named Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Boston Junior Rangers Official Announcement
It is with great pleasure the Boston Junior Rangers Organization announces Ryan Sweeney as our Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Ryan is the Owner and Head Coach of Sweeney Performance Training (SPT) and recently made Breakaway Ice Center the first hub of SPT.
Message From Ryan:
After venturing out on my own and starting “SPT” earlier this year, I have had the opportunity to work with dozens of high end hockey players from the professional level, to the NCAA ranks, as well as various youth groups and individuals (Additionally, I work with athletes of all sports, as well as offer small group and personal training options for adult and youth populations).
My educational background is in Exercise Science, and I am fortunate enough to be a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach under Mike Boyle’s “Certified Functional Strength Coach” association.
Hockey has been an integral part of mine and my family’s lives beginning at a young age. I finished up my playing career at New England College in 2017, and have tried to stay as close to the game as possible ever since! My Father, Bob Sweeney, spent 10 years in the NHL, and my two brothers both played their whole lives (my youngest brother Connor is going into his JR season at UNH).
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are interested in an overview & breakdown of the different training options that we will be providing in Tewksbury… If you have any questions, or would like to discuss training details further please feel free to contact me at 978-771-6070 OR ryan@sweeneyperformancetraining.com
I look forward to seeing you all around the rink!
