Season Kickoff

Games Are Underway!

The first league matchups are officially underway, and our teams are hitting the ice with determination and focus. Coaches are already seeing great strides in teamwork, effort, and energy. No matter the result, every game is an opportunity for players to learn, improve, and represent the Rangers with pride.

First Off-Ice Training Session Recap

We officially kicked off off-ice training on Wednesday, September 17th, and it was a fantastic start! Athletes worked on conditioning, agility, and strength training while also building bonds with teammates. Off-ice work is a vital piece of player development, and the Rangers are committed to giving athletes every opportunity to grow.

Thank you to Coach Ryan, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, for making the first session a success. With years of experience in hockey-specific strength and conditioning, Coach Ryan has built a reputation for developing athletes who are faster, stronger, and more resilient on the ice. His off-ice training sessions focus on core stability, explosive power, and mobility—all key components for high-level hockey performance. Beyond the physical side, Coach Ryan emphasizes discipline, mental toughness, and team culture, giving our players the complete package they need to succeed throughout the season.

Friday Night Skills: With Coach Will O’Neill

This season, Friday Night Skills sessions began on September 12th, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome back BJR Skills Director, Will O’Neill, to the ice!

A former NHL defenseman with years of high-level playing experience, Coach Will brings incredible knowledge of the game, especially when it comes to skating, puck movement, and defensive awareness. His energy and instruction have already made Friday nights a highlight of the week for our players.

These sessions are a great way for athletes to refine their skills in a fun, competitive environment, and with Coach Will leading the way, the bar has been set high for the rest of the season.

Looking Ahead

The Boston Junior Rangers are off to a strong start, and the weeks ahead are filled with opportunities to grow as athletes and teammates. Between on-ice games, weekly practices, off-ice training, and Friday Night Skills, our players are laying the foundation for a great season.

We’re proud of the work ethic and determination already on display, and we can’t wait to see where this season takes us.

Here’s to making this a year to remember—Go Rangers! 🚨🏒
